College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center (CHECLC) provides the foundation to nurture children's lifelong love of learning. In our warm, friendly, and loving classroom environment, caring and trained staff understand and support the learning that children need for a healthy development from infant to Pre-Kindergarten.

College Heights offers early learning programs for infant, toddler, preschool, and Pre-K students through a unique partnership with City Schools of Decatur, Metro Atlanta YMCA, and Partners for Community Action, Inc. (Head Start Program). We currently serve 246 students in our school.

The staff at College Heights recognizes parents as their child's first and most influential teacher and works in partnership with parents to plan and implement activities to enhance their child’s growth and development. It is our belief that competence and initiative are fostered in an environment where children feel safe, can make decisions, and are allowed to explore, experiment, and assert themselves in socially acceptable ways. We believe children learn best in an environment that embraces their cultural individualities. All staff recognizes and allows for children’s individual differences in development, interest, and needs; celebrate diversity and support inclusion.

Our educational curriculum emphasizes growth in physical development, language and literacy, cognitive development, and social and emotional development. College Heights ECLC is dedicated to working with families to provide a healthy, safe and nurturing learning environment so that all children will grow and learn.
